Their story is kind of funny. They had a mutual friend who invited our lovely Jessica to join her for a night out. Funny part #1 is I worked with their mutual friend and I got invited to join them (cause I'm cool for an old chick). I dont know if the friend intended to introduce Michael & Jessica or not but I kind of think she did. So I call Michael and tell him I'm going out with them and he tells me he's going to. We all meet up at the Town Crier and lo and behold if there wasn't another girl there that was trying to snag my son as well. Well, she eventually lost....and I wasn't sad...at all...in fact when they broke up I laughed and danced and giggle with joy....she had these aweful ugly little baby teeth - like she never got grown up teeth and her mouth drove me crazy, it was ugly in appearance and in what came out of it, she was full of drama and would stab you in the back if she thought there was something in it for her....ok, so turns out he dates baby teeth for awhile and *my* choice from that night - Ms. Jessica - left to go to school. I was sad for me because I really liked her. The first time I met her? seriously? I wanted them to fall in love and get married because I knew she was the real thing. She was smart and pretty and witty and down to earth and she had goals and a plan in place to reach them.
Well, so time goes on and he finally breaks up with the baby tooth girl and goes to Pullman to party with some friends. And it was there that it all started....the first day of the rest of his life. They started dating casually but it wasn't long until time found her making him enchiladas....my son is a sucker for food! and it wasn't long after that that he called me and asked me to go shopping for a wedding ring because he was going to propose.
I remember the night he proposed. I was so excited I was ready to pop and when I finally couldn't stand it any longer I finally called him and found out SHE SAID YES!!!! I rushed over to her grandma's house where they were and hugged on them and loved on them and she sat on my lap....she sat on my lap at their wedding too :) and if I had my other computer I could post a picture of it because we got it on camera. Just one more thing that made me fall more in love with her.
Well, now, 2 years later it is with great pride and joy....my cup? my cup is seriously overflowing with the love for a grandchild I've never met. A grandchild that I envisioned right after I envisioned them being married the 1st time I met her.
MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW ARE HAVING A BABY!!!!!
Please join me on TEAM PINK!
Of course we don't care if it's a boy or a girl but I have 2 grandsons and I'd love to have a granddaughter. Michael has told me for years he wants all boys because girls will mess up hunting season - seems opening weekend of hunting season falls in the same timeframe as High School Homecoming and he would hate to disappoint his daughters by not being there as they go to home coming and if he has boys then he has a hunting partner. So.....I went out and found this to prove to him that a baby girl would be sooooo cool. And I told Jessica last night that IF she turns out to be a boy then we can dye the shirt because who cares if it turns out ugly...it's for a boy.
